This extract (hypnea musciformis) provides protection from glycation and cellular/skin tissue damage evidenced by stiff, dull skin. The extract reduces redness and inflammation by reducing the overproduction of TNF-a. It strengthens the skin barrier by inducing involucrin synthesis. MMP1 and MMP3 enzyme activation is limited – these are implicated in the degradation of the dermal matrix. Red algae is excellent at restoring skin’s normal cellular matrix within 28 days.
